DMTA Opens Admission Window for April 2026 Academic Intake
Dar es Salaam Maritime Training Academy (DMTA) has officially announced the opening of its admission window for the upcoming academic period scheduled to begin on 13 April 2026. The announcement was made during a press conference held to inform the public and prospective students about the opportunity to enroll in the academy’s professional maritime training programmes.
Speaking during the announcement, Cpt. Ken Chimwejo, DMTA Principal emphasized the academy’s commitment to providing high-quality maritime education and practical training aimed at preparing competent professionals for the maritime industry in Tanzania and beyond. The academy continues to play an important role in developing skilled personnel capable of working safely and efficiently in maritime operations.
DMTA also clarified that all applications for the new intake will be processed exclusively through its online admission portal. Prospective applicants are therefore required to submit their applications by visiting the academy’s official application system at www.portal.dmta.ac.tz. The online system has been designed to make the application process more efficient, transparent, and accessible to applicants from different parts of the country.
According to the academy, the upcoming intake will offer several internationally recognized maritime safety and professional training courses aimed at equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required in the maritime sector.
DMTA encourages all interested candidates to apply early through the portal to ensure their applications are submitted successfully before the start of the academic period.
