TASAC Conducts Inspection Visit at DMTA and Commends Its Readiness for Maritime Training

Officials from the Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation (TASAC) conducted an official inspection visit to Dar es Salaam Maritime Training Academy (DMTA) to assess the institution’s preparedness to deliver maritime safety and professional training in Tanzania.

The inspection formed part of TASAC’s mandate to ensure that maritime training institutions comply with national and international maritime standards before commencing training programs. During the visit, the TASAC team reviewed the academy’s training facilities, classrooms, safety equipment, and administrative systems that support the delivery of maritime courses.

The team also evaluated the academy’s training structure, learning materials, and preparedness to deliver courses that equip trainees with essential maritime safety skills required in the maritime industry.

After completing the inspection, officials from Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation demonstrated by DMTA. They noted that the academy has made significant efforts to establish a professional training environment that aligns with maritime safety training requirements.

The inspectors commended Dar es Salaam Maritime Training Academy for its commitment to developing competent maritime personnel and supporting the growth of the maritime sector in Tanzania through quality training.
